Donald L. D. Ellis-Johnson is a native of Mount Vernon, New York USA. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and several doctoral credits in Religious Studies from Trinity School of the Bible. He is a civil service retiree. His career as a Family Court Probation Officer afforded him extensive involvement in the human services fields assisting children, families, court systems, and county government.
Minister Donald has quite a story to tell. His own experiences with sin, brokenness, rebellion, sexual immorality, alcohol, drugs and other addictions has proffered him an extreme experience of God’s grace, mercy, love and forgiveness. A modern day prodigal son, he surrendered his life to the Lord in 1989.
Now, an evangelist, Christian educator, and theologian, Donald has completed graduate studies in Christian Education in Dallas Theological Seminary. He is enrolled in Southern Baptist Theology Seminary in the Doctor of Educational Ministry program.
Johnson travels the world explaining God's word, proclaiming its truth and helping people change and become Christ-like. His message is that Jesus saves, and God is able to do so more than we can ask or think! God's power in his life is touching and helping young and old people, disenfranchised, leaders and churches where he travels.
He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Evangelical Missiologial Society, the American Association of Christian Counselors, the Just Leadership Association, an organization dedicated to cutting the US correctional population in half by 2030, the American Church Society, and a past member of the American Probation and Parole Association. He is an affirmed and affiliated evangelist with the Next Generation Alliance of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association.
Relocating to Texas, Johnson joined Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, Dallas, where Dr. Tony Evans is senior pastor. Johnson resides in May Pearl, Texas.
